Bag tracker service teams up with airport site Trace Me Luggage Tracker, the luggage tracking service, has signed a deal with www.airportsinformation.co.uk to sell its electronic luggage tags.
The tags, recognised in 1,960 airports, feature barcodes unique to customers that allow missing pieces of luggage to be scanned by airport officials. They can then access owners’ registered details and match the bag directly to its owner. It also removes the need to display personal information such as home addresses on bags.
Customers register their tags with property ownership register service www.immobilise.com and once the tag has been scanned an SMS message and email are sent to the owner with information on where their bag is and who to contact for its return.
